As a promotions intern with Press Communication, I was exposed to industry technology and programs, while setting up sound systems at various venues, while promoting Thunder 106, B98.5 and 107.1 FM radio stations.
At The Outlook, I am accountable for covering weekly stories, photography, interviewing students, faculty and community members who participated in the events and submitting stories on a deadline. I also worked with the newspaper editor for copy editing and assigning stories to writers.
While with WMCX, I have developed a weekly Hip-Hop show devoted to hip-hop, and local hip-hop talent. I was responsible for music programing, managing the sound board, controlling sound levels, playing promos, paid advertisements and doing live reads. I was also responsible for the operation of telephones and adhearing to FCC regulations.
